Building a website for Weaving the Web is exciting but daunting I have all the footage that I have been gathering for a while along side doing the networking and gathering information for a database of people's skills and resources, so multifunctioning yet again, it's becoming part of my life!!!
Building up the video footage is time consuming and I'm learning to get the clips quicker each time and then edit them, the time consuming part is down loading them to Utube, I leave it running and get on with something else.
I have spend quite a few hours on the website playing with the format to see what works and what doesn't, I want to make it easy and interesting to read so that people
will use it . So many websites are informative but also boring, that's why I have come up with the video footage idea, keeping it short but informative.
It's interesting to see how the skills I've learned have come together to build this project , the website building is incorporating people skills, videoing and camera skills,
working out how to display craft work as some people didn't want to appear on camera so this was a different approach. setting up music and displaying the objects to show them in the best light was another learning curve and an extra skill .
i also found the first take was the best I gave them little time to think about it, to much planning was detrimental to the video.

Building a website has been a skill set that has been invaluable to me, it has given me a forum from which to share ideas and concepts, initially it was hard work very much learning as I went along often making mistake some costly by loosing pages of work but I have kept my hand in and found that the websites themselves keep bringing in improvements to make the websites user friendly.
I can now build a website without to much trouble and time and present it in a professional manner.
