SPIRITUAL CONNECTION
REPORT
Finding our spiritual connection to the earth.
Why is the spiritual connection to earth so important to me, this is the real essence of permaculture, really connecting to the spirit of the earth, tuning in deeply to her rhythms and cycles.
For me this is the time I learn so much, not just about the earth but also about myself, as I release the connections with normal life and go deep within I become who I really am.
A creature connected to all life where I find my place, a place of non-judgement standing side by side with all forms of life whatever they may be.
From this place I learn most about how I need to live by watching and connecting with the earth. she is our greatest teacher, standing in a place of humility and watching all life working together never taking more than they need, no greed, coexisting with in a balanced way.
So what gets in the way of the human race working and coexisting together on this beautiful earth in a peaceful sustainable way of life? Ego, fear and lack of self-belief. When we tune into the spirit of the earth we begin to forget about our ego’s and start to function on a different level. And I believe by sourcing the passion and skill within each one of us, the thing that excites us and stretches our boundaries, is one of these keys.
By connecting to this gift we are allowing ourselves to be who we are ,not always an easy journey as it takes tremendous courage and trust to step out of the comfort zone let go of what you know and try something new.
Part of my work is to encourage others on their journey through life, to find that part of themselves, It is not something that I can do for them but I can help them to discover and take responsibility for themselves in a holistic way and find where they are headed in life.
This project is about the care takers of the land the indigenous peoples of this earth about the shamans and the wise people who talk to the earth and nature spirits, about how they connect in, how they use nature's resources to heal, herbs and plants, connect in to the moons cycles and how food is grown within these cycles.
This is about how we can also start to connect in to nature on a higher level and repair the damage that has been done to the earth and also to our selves. Listen to the earth as she teaches us valuable skills and lessons on how we are all connected and the harm we do her is also the harm we ultimately do to ourselves.
so what am I going to explore in this project is how I can bring elements of earth connection into a permaculture course to help people to reconnect to the earth on a spiritual and practical level.
