Personel
I have pushed my boundries by:
Interacting and connecting with people
Expanded my social network of people
learned about cultural differences
learned where my limits are taking on such a big project has stretched my time management skills
learned when to say no.
I have had to go back over my project work as the format needed reorganising, this was a huge learning curve for me.I hit a block on it and could not move forward, this went on for weeks I would sit down to revamp it and end up going round in circles.
I decided to mind map my blocks and did an indepth analayes of my self sabatarge actions. I found it very usefull, once the blocks were pinpointed I used EFT to unblock them trace the source of the problem and work on it. This is usefull technique that I have utilized several times since when I can't move forward.
It helped going back over the projects and by reformating them I was able to locate the functional connectivity between the projects and also tie them back to the original goals set at the begining. I also lost a lot of data that I had put on the website and basicaly had to start again on one section, but found by rewriting it I understood a lot more.
Project
I still have so much more to add to the website about Weaving The Web but striking the balance between physicaly building the project and documenting it all is a real test of my time managment skills.
I am really enjoying Weaving the web it is a rewarding project with so many positive outcomes.
The email hub has now expanded way beyond the intial 100 people to include a wide sector of people from different interests, backgrounds and geographical locations and is now reaching up to 500 plus people.
The web gatherings have proved to be a popular social interaction group encouraging a wide range of other networks to grow from it.
People are now starting to put forward ideas to form different events, camping weekends, craft skill shares, drumming groups wheel of the year celibrations.
I feel that the group is making a real difference in peoples lives, watching their self confidence grow as they try new skills and push thier boundries encourages me to carry on.
The lady who organised the art session said she felt that as she cut up the designs to make the mandella that she was severing the connection with the group, but when it was joined back together as a spiral she felt each one was an individual but working together for the good of the whole, this embodies the meaning behind our gatherings, people working as individuals but joined together for the good of the community.
The Gatherings will continue to expand and grow I have many more ideas that I want to put forward over the comming months and will update the website connected to Weaving The Web to show the conitued growth.
Feedback March 2014
Weaving the Web turned out to become a huge hub of resources creating:
Banks of knowledge on many diverse levels
Banks of people with skills again covering lots of diverse subjects giving me elements for building blocks for courses
Networks of people wanting to learn new skills
Access to free material resources for different uses
Support groups
Networks and friendships
Banks of people power providing energy and power for building projects
Weaving the Web interconnected and ran along side project 1 assessing my life and project 3 permacultering people. Seeking out people with the knowledge and skills sets I required to turn around and holistically balance my life added to the resource hub for Weaving the Web and allowed me to share that knowledge on a greater level.
This demonstrates well that starting at Zone 00 the self and making changes can have enormous impact at an expanded level for the community. Weaving the Web is still running 3 years later and has evolved a life of it's own.
